I have enjoyed my training with KinneretYoga tremendously. Participating in the summer intensive was one of the best experiences of my life and I will never forget it. The individualized attention from instructors, our small intimate sized group, and Kinneret’s openness and availability are only a few of the elements that made KinneretYoga training very special. I look forward to using the tools I have gained. Thank you for everything!

Dodi Smason, Alumnus

Kinneret’s yoga program was amazing. It is holistic and complete where one can benefit from the knowledge of wonderful and dedicated teachers. The course is brilliantly designed and a great way to connect to other yogis. I highly recommend it.

 – Malkah Rothberg, Alumnus

I feel privileged to have learned from such high-caliber teachers. I learned so much about the philosophy and mechanics of yoga. I hope to continue to grow and expand in my practice, and to be an amazing teacher to others – Dena Rabinowitz, Alumnus

KinneretYoga teacher training was founded by Kinneret Dubowitz in 2007 – and she brings her knowledge, experience, vision, commitment to inspiring women and strengthening their professional skills in the art of teaching yoga, movement, and fitness. Kinneret has a Master’s degree in Creative Arts/Dance Movement Therapy from Lesley College (1999), Cambridge, MA, and received her yoga alliance yoga certification in 1996 from the Toronto School of Flow Yoga giving her the current credentials as an ERYT (experienced registered yoga teacher). As well, Kinneret is a certified Yin Yoga teacher from Soghrati Yoga School under the teaching of Yin Yoga/Yoga Therapist expert Tracey Soghrati.

She currently runs her accredited yoga teacher’s training programs in Israel and North America, runs retreats, and teaches yoga classes locally in Toronto. Kinneret’s Toronto classes are influenced mostly by the work of her yoga teacher and trainer, Kaila Kukla, who showed her the possibility for teaching a style of yoga which originates from deep within the body. This is the hallmark of her style for her yoga classes. However, both her classes and teacher’s training programs draw on an integrated approach to yoga which incorporates many key elements of various yoga styles.

Paige Gottheim,  Graduate of a 200 hr Registered Yoga Program and graduate of a 500 hr advanced certification program.

Paige Photo

Paige began practicing yoga in 2003 as a college student relishing in the momentary escape from campus life. Originally, she was drawn to the practice for the purposes of cultivating discipline, focus and physical strength. Through years of study, she discovered the subtler aspects of balance, ease and grace. Striving to weave an awareness of all these qualities into her asana classes and to provide an overall sense of wellness in body, mind and spirit, Paige was propelled to pursue a teacher training course. In 2012 she received a 200-hour RYT certificate from Abhaya Yoga, an Anusara-inspired school in Brooklyn. In 2014, she completed a 500-hour advanced certification, studying with Rebekah Nagy . In addition to yoga training, she studied mindfulness with Elaine Retholtz . Her classes combine breath-based movement with deep structural awareness in order to find optimum alignment.  She hopes to empower her students by providing them with tools to flex their focus, stay rooted and meet life’s challenges with deep breaths.

Simone Nitzan, ERYT 500 Yoga Alliance

Certified 1000 hours of training with 500 hrs from Downward Dog Yoga Centre in Toronto & 500 hours of training with Eyal Chehanowski in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Simone is inspired by how the wisdom of yoga can be applied to our lives in the modern world today. She has found that Hatha Yoga has the power to heal our over stimulated nervous system with its multitude of practices.

Simone first found herself on a yoga mat as a university student in her early 20’s. It wasn’t love at first sight, rather Simone was an athlete and student of kinesiology, studying how the body functions and moves in a variety of ways. At 23 Simone went on her first trip to India & decided that on her return to Canada she would take on a  daily yoga practice.

Now, 13 years later Simone has been practice almost every day of her life. She has completed over 1000 hours of her own training and is constantly evolving and deepening her own understanding of these ancient teachings. Simone completed 500 hours of training with the renowned Downward Dog Yoga Centre in Toronto, as well as, 500 hours of training with Eyal Chehanowski in Tel Aviv, Israel. Simone also regularly travels to New York City where she is training with Stacey Brass Russell.

Today Simone is a mother of a 2 year old girl and balances her time between practicing and teaching yoga, practicing as a registered massage therapist and mothering her daughter. Nothing makes Simone feel more alive than listening to her daughter laugh, seeing her students discover something new for the first time and witnessing transformation in action on and off the yoga mat.
